Plot : "Bodyguards and Assassins" tells the story of a group of bodyguards protecting Sun Yat-sen (1866-1925) from assassins in 1905 Hong Kong.

"Bodyguards And Assassins" concerns efforts by a group of martial artists to protect Dr. Sun Yat-sen who is popularly referred as the Father of Modern China, from an assassination attempt while visiting Hong Kong to raise funds at the beginning of the 20th century.

Five years after our first interview, I had the chance to meet Teddy Chan a second time during the Hong Kong Filmart 2009 where he was presenting two projects. One at the Hong Kong-Asia Film Financing Forum called “Punitive Homicide”, a horror thriller written by Su Chao-Pin (“Double Vision”, “Silk”) and the other one, “Bodyguards and Assassins”, had a big presse conference at the Filmart a few weeks before the beginning of the shooting. This is going to be a wonderful movie. Unfortunately it'll be a while before it comes to the US. I would love to trade openings with China that day. In the US we get Hachiko: A Dog's Story while China getsBodyguards and Assassins. I have been reading Chinese history and just finished reading about time period. I would so love to see this movie!
